ACCOMPANYING EVENTS

  • European Rover Challenge 2016 – 3rd edition of the competition - 450 young constructors from 10 countries (including Poland) will compete in various disciplines which reflect real tasks completed by rovers on the surface of Mars. We invite the participants to join in the Audience Zone
  • Scientific and technological demonstrations - popular science-oriented, aimed at broad audience – experiments, new technologies, innovative projects and undertakings implemented by companies operating in the innovative economy sector. We invite the participants to join in the Demonstration Zone
  • Presentation on selected issues from the Report about the opportunities and potential for the development of space and robotic industry in Poland – including the results of the questionnaire about the level of development and human resources potential in Polish space and robotic sector. Moreover, the Report includes a summary of skills and expertise of members of Polish Mars robots teams as well as descriptions of good practices and examples from Poland and other countries, presenting projects and companies established with the help of such initiatives as ERC. The Report will include the statements of representatives and opinion leaders from the space and innovative economy sectors about the needs and means of the industry for its further development.
  • The ESA Debate - The European Space Agency Citizens' Debate on Space for Europe – September 10th, 2016.Over 2000 citizens from 22 countries will have opportunity to express their opinion on a subject of an influence of the space exploration and the space technology on our lives and next generations’ lives. This unique consultation formula will be held in every member state of the European Space Agency, by which the debate is organised. The Technology Transfer Centre Cracow University of Technology (CTT PK), as a partner of this event, has the pleasure to invite you to take part in the debate to the Exhibition and Congress Centre, Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport, Poland. All debates will be organised in the same time in 22 countries, the patricipants will follow the same instructions and answer the same set of questions. The results of all the meetings will be published in a consolidated European report. Participation in the debate is free of charge. The debate will be held in Polish language. The catering will be provided, but you are responsible for any costs you have to bear to be part of the debate (travel, babysitting, etc.). Registration

NETWORKING

The Congress is also a business platform for establishing contacts and launching new start-up ventures regarding space projects and new technologies. During the Congress a zone dedicated to networking will be made available for the participants. The zone will include stands of:
  • VC funds interested in providing support to new projects,
  • institutions supporting the development of new projects
  • HR companies, seeking graduates and young specialists to work in the industry
Networking meetings are Program Block 3 during Day 1 of the Congress. Agenda

MENTORING WORKSHOP

Day 2 of the Congress consists of practical workshop meetings dedicated to young constructors, start-ups representatives and entrepreneurs interested in the development of their industry projects. The agenda includes, among others, a mentoring workshop conducted by ERC jurors and ESA specialists for members of teams participating in the European Mars Robot Competition and thematic workshops focused on the procedure and methods of fund acquisition for the new projects and creation of business models - workshops conducted by the representatives of SpeedUp Venture Capital Group.   • how can institutions support the development of human resources and talent management (robotics competitions, support programs, mentoring projects)
